Christian Family Services offers a monthly support group for you once you have made the very difficult decision to relinquish your baby for adoption. We are here, not just up until the time of placement but in the many years following the decision, or for as long as you need adoption-related support and counsel.

The support group meets the second Tuesday of every month from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at our Southfield office. The program features educational materials and curriculum provided in partnership with the nationally recognized Sit Knee-to-Knee Support Group and the Lifetime Healing Foundation.

During the support group, members enjoy a light dinner and then take time to connect or check in with one another. For most women, it is the first time they have ever met another women who has relinquished her child for adoption. There is a special bond finding someone who truly understands the experience.

Come sit Knee-to-Knee with us

Each month, the group explores a different topic from the Sit Knee-to-Knee curriculum which includes a video presentation and time to journal. Topics this year have included mental health, social media, body image, financial health and social pressures. Group materials are created by birth moms for birth moms.

The group is open to any woman who has relinquished a child for adoption, regardless of which agency she worked with or when the adoption occurred. We are here for you!
